Thousands of Tumblr users have been misled by a post suggesting that an unidentified elementary school girl was battered and sexually assaulted by her classmates only to have authorities excuse it as “rough housing”. This story is awful and provokes anger amongst its readers, as it should. However it’s a LIE

This article smelled “off” when I read it because it clearly stated that the mother withheld her daughter’s name to save her from humiliation. Which made the photo of the girl seem off. Why hide her name if you’ll show her face? That’s because this isn’t an article on CNN like the post suggests and that little girl isn’t a sexual assault victim. You’re looking at a photo of Makayla McEvoy. She was 7 when this photo was taken in 2012 after she survived a Kangaroo attack.

Little miss McEvoy is an Australian animal attack survivor. She is NOT an American rape victim from Georgia (thank God)

The artificial news story was fabricated by a Tumblr user called dropmycumberbritches (who now goes by vegetableighs since handing the account off to someone else to avoid heat) After posting the artificial story to raise awareness to Rape Culture, the Tumblr user then celebrated and sang their own praise. Luckily another Tumble user, untrue-posts, found the article, did some digging and reblogged the initial post with the real info.

However, the original post is still picking up speed and is sitting comfortably at 20k+ posts. Please, spread this news and let everyone know that there is not a Georgian rape victim going uncared for. Instead, there’s a poor Australian girl who was attacked by a Kangaroo in 2012 who recovered, only to have her face used for some else’s agenda.

An Open Letter To All Cis Men:

endgaem:

skellytin:

Just think, that every joke or whatever that is at the expense of men, that rubs you the wrong way, that you have virtually no chance of being raped/molested/sexually harassed. You will get a job easier. And on average, you will be be paid more than women. Your beauty and fashion expectations are much lower, to an extreme extent, compared to women. You will ALWAYS be treated better than women now, or back hundreds/thousands of years ago. You will never have periods, pregnancy, or labor. You don’t have to deal with sexist dress codes that aren’t in your favor. You will not be slut-shamed, and will not be victim-blamed for sexual abuse (that you most likely won’t ever have). All for JUST BEING BORN A MAN. And when you remember those things, maybe your jimmies won’t be as rustled.

Just think, that every joke or whatever that is at the expense of men, that rubs you the wrong way, that you have virtually no chance of being raped/molested/sexually harassed.

Who the hell told you men have “virtually no chance of being raped, molested or sexually assaulted”? There’s no way you got that information from any reliable resource. (x) There have been claims that the following link was debunked, however this was on the following premise:

“[We defined rape as] any completed or attempted unwanted vaginal (for women), oral, or anal penetration through the use of physical force (such as being pinned or held down, or by the use of violence) or threats to physically harm and includes times when the victim was drunk, high, drugged, or passed out and unable to consent.”

We defined sexual violence other than rape to include being made to penetrate someone else, sexual coercion, unwanted sexual contact, and non-contact unwanted sexual experiences. (x)

Basically, their definition of rape excluded a good majority of male rape cases, so unless the man was being raped by another man, it didn’t count as rape, just sexual assault. Otherwise, 40% of rapists are women. The first link I gave already provides the math done to come to this conclusion, but in the event you’re still skeptical here is the CDC source.

And on average, you will be be paid more than women.

No. Link. And if they are getting payed less, you realize that if you’re an American (or Canadian) and this is happening, then it is illegal, right? The Equal Pay Act in both countries accounts for this. You can report your business if they are doing this.

Your beauty and fashion expectations are much lower, to an extreme extent, compared to women.

Oh yes, so much lower. All men have to do is follow a work-out regime that takes months, or even years to achieve the results that these men have. So much easier. I don’t understand why it’s so difficult to say that both men and women have standards that are thrust on them.

You will ALWAYS be treated better than women now, or back hundreds/thousands of years ago.

I don’t disagree with the second half, but the first half? What about domestic abuse cases where even when the man is the victim, he is automatically assumed to be the perpetrator? Child custody laws in the U.S.? Your analysis is a weak mess of jumbled hasty generalizations.

You don’t have to deal with sexist dress codes that aren’t in your favor.

This is some juvenile shit. You must still be in high school if you’re actually complaining about dress codes. News flash: Men have dress-codes too. And you know what else?

BREAKING NEWS

Dress codes exist in the work force too! Dress-codes in high school aren’t meant to “oppress” the men or women that have to abide by them, it’s preparation for the guidelines you’ll need to meet in a professional environment. You really think you can hold down a job if you rebel against the dress code because it’s “too limiting”? Neither school nor work is a fucking fashion show, you’re there to learn or get a job done. The only reason it appears that dress code is lenient for boys is because they have less clothing options, and therefore less chances of breaking the dress code (which still happens).

You will not be slut-shamed, and will not be victim-blamed for sexual abuse (that you most likely won’t ever have).

Are you completely daft? Have you really never heard people say “he was hard so he must have wanted it”, “don’t be a little bitch man, you should be grateful you got laid”, “Stop complaining and admit you liked it”, “are you gay? why wouldn’t you have wanted that?” These are all things that male rape victims have heard after they were assaulted, and you pretending it doesn’t happen is appalling.

Your entire post, though probably meant to be insightful, just comes off as completely ignorant and dismissive of serious issues men also face. Looks like you have a lot of learning to do.

The worst part is, I actually think I know who the people are who’s names are blacked out.

At least the WBC don’t try to hide how they really feel about gay men with social justice nonsense
Remember kids, social justice: where its okay to say that the sight of two men getting married made you throw up in your mouth: just say its because of their “privilege”

um…I don’t. He associates with me. I don’t like him.

Isn’t it amazing how the SJWs who accuse me of being a rape apologist are also the ones who:

Refuse to acknowledge the fact that I have experienced sexual assault because it invalidates the painting they are desperately trying to paint of me

Responded to my revealing that I have been sexually assasulted with sassy gifs of cartoon characters rolling their eyes

Accuse me of only bringing it up to win internet arguments

Tell me that I am not allowed to use humour as a coping mechanism and they don’t care if I do I have no right to have coping mechanisms that they don’t approve of

Constantly send me hate mail telling me to stop lying, that I clearly made the whole thing up to invalidate feminism and that I should kill myself.

And I’m the rape apologist?  Piss off anon, you smarmy little piece of shit.
